Cement Plant E&I Cabling — Ladder, Tray & Terminations

Motor to MCC in cement dust and at height: the unglamorous work that keeps a plant running

Cement plants are among the hardest environments for electrical infrastructure: abrasive dust, vibration, heat, and cable routes that climb tens of metres through preheater towers and conveyor galleries. When cabling fails here, production stops.

Across multiple campaigns at a major Malaysian cement plant, RODATECH installed cable ladder and tray runs at height, pulled and dressed power and control cables, and completed motor-to-MCC terminations — much of it during live plant operation under strict permit-to-work control. Where standard tray sections did not fit the structure, our workshop fabricated custom galvanised sections to suit.

Every termination is torqued, tagged and tested; every core labelled at both ends. The next technician to open a terminal box — five years from now — will find exactly what the drawings say.

Scope of Works

  • Cable ladder and tray installation at height — permit-to-work conditions
  • Custom galvanised tray/ladder fabrication for non-standard routes
  • Power and control cable pulling and dressing
  • Motor terminal box terminations — torqued, tagged, tested
  • Motor-to-MCC continuity and insulation testing
  • Full line rewires during planned shutdown windows

Project Outcome

Multiple campaigns completed with zero lost-time incidents and lines back on schedule (specific installed quantities — contact us for more information). The client returned for repeat campaigns year after year — the clearest KPI in contracting.
